Making the big decision..when to leave?

I have contemplated different dates for leaving and keep coming back to October 3rd. That is Bob's birthdate. As I was figuring things out I thought I would give myself 40 days to walk with ten days at the end to stay in Santiago, or walk 4 more days to Finisterre, and give myself three days in Paris. It seems reasonable. I may want to go to Hendayes Cross on the way back to Paris and check out a few places along the way. I think all that planning will have to come at the end of the Camino as I have no idea what type of plans may arise as a result of the peregrina's walk. That amount of time would see me returning to Canada on November 24th which is my mother's birthdate, and by the time I get home I will have been gone 53 days...one day for every year of my life! Seems quite fitting. If all travel plans fall into place, I will start walking on October 6. October 6 does not have any significance other than it will become a very significant date for me.
I am anxious to book the trip and will do it tonight or tomorrow morning.
