I joined the gym today. What a deal. Thought it was going to cost $60/month but because I am an alumni of the Camrose Luthern College (now the University of Alberta, Augustana campus) I got $12 off. Sweet....Guess that year at CLC could finally pay off!! The gym is operated by the University at the Edgworth Centre in Camrose. Lots of great equipment and busy with hockey players and college students year round. The grey hair crowd is there in the mornings. That's when I will go. I was shown the various machines and did two sets. Walked on the treadmill for 20minutes. I have signed up to have a personal trainer set me up on a program to strengthen my core and the muscles in my shoulders and knees. Walked 7.6 km tonight following the Stoney Creek. This side of the creek does not have the extreme hills so will be a good route for training with the pack to begin with.
Boots are feeling better all the time.
