From planning to committing... what is the problem??

There are a few things going on right now. Failure to commit and book the flight. I guess I don't really think I am committed until I book the flight. Still searching for a best deal.
I started training a few weeks ago, walking in the valley below my fathers house in Camrose, Alberta. It has been there that things have started to fall into place regarding the timing of this journey. The journey takes at least 32 days (I plan to take 40 days) so you have to have the time, and I do. The journey starts with a flight to Paris, France, and a couple of trains to reach the starting point of the Camino Frances in the small town of St. Jean Pied de Port in the French Pyrenees mountains. I have to attend to these travel details.
I am also having a boot issue right now. The boots I have seem to be too tight. I may need to get new ones and I will need to do that very soon.
I am considering joining the local gym for 6 weeks of weight training which is specific to the activity of hiking with a backpack weighing about 14 pounds max.
My training at this point has worked up to 7 km walks with about 7 pounds in the pack.
I still need to get some techy clothes that are light, and wicking and quick drying. Gotta pack the bare minimum.
I have bought my pack, poles, sleeping bag and a bed bug sheet.
I do appear to be going, but not quite ready to tell the world...or do they even have to know?
