Working around distractions!

I have such great friends. All have been so encouraging and have more confidence than me in my ability to complete this. I just came back from a wonderful weekend with 5 very good girlfriends who gave me some wonderful advice for packing and gave me little things for my trip. They also warned me not to get distracted by the wine fountain that I am going to encounter along The Way. (Yes, pilgrims get a choice of wine or water from the drinking fountain)  I managed to go for a 10 km hike around the town of Donalda during our girls weekend but also had my fair share of good food and wine. Got good practise with the eating and drinking that I will be doing on the walk. It was great to walk around this area as it brought back memories of my childhood. I remembered the road and the ski-hill from my past. My grandparents lived in Donalda when I was young so we made the trip there at least once a month. First place I learned to ski too. It scared me a lot and because I wasn't good at it right off the hop, I wasn't sure if I liked it. I saw the place where the tow rope once went up through the trees. I usually fell going up the steep part and dreaded it. So, as I passed it on my walk I decided to climb it for old time sake. It somehow wasn't as big as I had remembered but I conquered it anyway.
The horses I saw on my walk posed gracefully for me. I see a lot of horses on my walks and they seem to like having their pictures taken.
I must admit I am starting to feel a little nervous, with all kinds of thoughts running through my head with just two weeks left before I go.

Here is a picture of the old Creamery in Donalda that my grandfather used to manage.
